The premiere of the film “Stary”

The Krakow Film Festival will include the first screenings of the film “Stary” directed by the Oscar-nominated creative duo Magda Hueckel-Tomasz Sliwinski. It is an insightful, artistic portrait of our Theater over the two hundred and forty years of its existence, bringing together the voices of dozens of people associated with the stage.

“The camera follows the corridors of the building and uncovers more secrets enchanted within its walls. It leads us through the backstage areas that are inaccessible to the public on a daily basis, and real and legendary figures associated with the place stand in its way. It is also a story about the people of the theater, who have worked for its reputation and recognition since its inception. Successes are intertwined here with painful memories, and the story is colored by anecdotes.”

The film will be seen on May 30 (Tuesday) at 1 pm at The Małopolska Garden of Arts. The second screening will take place on June 3 (Saturday) at 5:30 pm at the Kino Pod Baranami, where the screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.

Tickets available at the festival website.
