Step out of your everyday rhythm for a moment and immerse yourself in a night filled with music, light and dance energy. We invite you to a Carnival Ball at the National Stary Theatre. 

The Modrzejewska Hall, one of the representative spaces of the National Stary Theatre, originally served as a ballroom. This is where balls and social gatherings once took place, and where dance was a natural part of the life of the venue. On 7 February, we return to this tradition. 

In the Art Nouveau Modrzejewska Hall, dance music will be played: house, nu-disco and retro sounds. One of the DJ sets will be accompanied by live violin, creating a dialogue between the history of the space and a contemporary club format. 

At the same time, a second dance floor will be open in the BE Zone — a modern space overlooking Szczepański Square — featuring techno and electro music. 

The event has an open and flexible format. Participants are free to move between the different spaces and choose their own way of taking part. 

The Carnival Ball at the Stary Theatre is a contemporary interpretation of tradition, open to different ways of being and participating.

Tickets: 

– until 22 January 2026: 30 PLN 

– from 23 January 2026: 50 PLN 

Tickets are available online on the theatre’s website and at the MICET box office. On the day of the event, the box office will be open until 11:00 PM. 

There is no dress code. Carnival costumes, sequins or jeans are all equally welcome. 

A bar will be open during the event.

• The Modrzejewska Hall and the BE Zone are accessible for wheelchair users. 

• The Modrzejewska Hall can be reached by stairs or by elevator from the lower foyer. 

• Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor and the first floor. 

• The theatre does not offer on-site parking.
