mitos21 | a European theatre network

Founded in 2008, the mitos21 network is a space where representatives of Europe’s theatre scenes can exchange experiences, develop collaborative projects, and reflect on the role of the performing arts in the contemporary world.

The National Stary Theatre has been unanimously admitted to MITOS21 – a European theatre network bringing together the largest and most renowned theatre institutions in Europe.

After years of absence, the National Stary Theatre has rejoined the prestigious European theatre network mitos21.

Its members include, among others, Théâtre de l’Odéon in Paris, Burgtheater in Vienna, Comédie de Genève, Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Dramaten in Stockholm, and the National Theatre in London.

The Stary Theatre is currently the only Polish theatre in the network. Thank you for your trust!

Thanks to the diversity of themes explored in its repertoire, its eclectic aesthetic, and its ambitious Polish and international productions, the National Stary Theatre has joined the ranks of the largest and most recognizable theatres from cities such as Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Geneva, Hamburg, Vienna, Düsseldorf, Budapest, Antwerp, and Copenhagen.

For us, this is a natural continuation of our international activities. Membership in mitos21 opens up new opportunities for collaboration with partner cultural institutions across Europe.

For the team of the National Stary Theatre, this is a great honor and also proof that Kraków’s stage attracts the attention of international audiences.
