World Theatre Day – screening of the movie “Stary”
With regards to the World Theatre Day, we have prepared a surprise for you!
On March 27th, on the Main Stage of the Old Theater, there will be a screening of the film “Stary” directed by the Oscar-nominated Magda Hueckel and Tomasz Śliwiński.
The film “Stary” is an insightful, artistic portrait of our Theatre over the span of two hundred and forty years of its existence, gathering the voices of dozens of individuals associated with the stage.
The camera navigates through the corridors of the building, uncovering the secrets enshrined within its walls. It leads us through places behind the scenes that are usually inaccessible to the audience, and along its path, stand real and legendary figures associated with this place. It is also a story about the people of the theatre, who from the beginning of this place’s existence worked towards its reputation and recognition. Successes intertwine here with painful memories, and anecdotes color the history.
The film screening will take place on March 27th at 7:00 PM on the Main Stage of the Old Theater.
Tickets priced at 20 PLN can be purchased at the box office or on the Old Theater’s website (click here).
