Jakub Skrzywanek in the European Young Leaders program (EYL40)
Artistic Director of the National Old Theatre is Poland’s Representative in the European Young Leaders (EYL40) Program for 2025!
We are bursting with pride that this year, Poland will be represented by the Artistic Director of the National Old Theatre, Jakub Skrzywanek. This is proof of the strong position Polish theatre holds in European society, of its power, and of the strong voice of Artists.
Among the EYL members are, among others: Francesca Cavallo, author of the bestsellers Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls; Darren Jones, Chief Secretary to the Treasury of the United Kingdom; Kaja Kallas, Vice President of the European Commission and former Prime Minister of Estonia; Raphaël Liegéois, astronaut at the European Space Agency (ESA); Oleksandra Matviichuk, the first-ever Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize laureate; Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament; Bastian Obermayer, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, author of The Panama Papers.
EYL40 is a program that brings together visionary leaders and the sharpest minds in Europe, aimed at driving change and building a more inclusive, sustainable, and future-oriented international community.
Each of the 35 EU countries has one representative: heads of state and parliaments, political party leaders, investigative journalists, civil society activists, influential leaders of NGOs, Olympians, doctors, mayors, poets, and filmmakers.
The team at the National Old Theatre works every day to offer you the highest level of works created together by actresses, musicians, set designers, playwrights, directors, sound engineers, lighting designers, and choreographers. We believe that through these stories, we tame, fix, and make reality better. That’s why we are so proud that it is the representative of our Theatre who is representing Poland in the European Young Leaders program.
Congratulations!
