What makes me happiest is the fact that I’m a woman. Broads are strong, sharp, and wise. I take on the secrets and tragedies of women I don’t know. Every role is another planet, another woman to discover.
Anna Dymna is an actor and initiator of many social projects, she is one of the most
recognizable faces in Polish cinema and theatre. Her talent comes not only from her
beauty and sensitivity, but also from her inner strength, which has helped her get
through the greatest of personal crises and overcome the physical limitations that
have come with illness. Dymna is constantly proving that every person has limitlessstores of empathy, solidarity and energy for transforming our little worlds into ones that are more friendly and open.
These are mini-stories of 336 women in theatre and film in snapshots, photographed by Wojciech Plewiński and Magda Hueckel, interwoven with the actor’s private moments and recollections.
