Kamil Pudlik
He made his debut in the Stary Theatre in “Minor Apocalypse 20XX,” based on Tadeusz Konwicki’s novel and directed by Waldemar Raźniak, taking the part of several dark and grotesque characters who plague the main protagonist throughout the play. Kamil Pudlik got noticed for his diploma production, “The Oresteia,” directed by Michał Zadara, which brought him the top Actor’s Award at the Acting Schools Festival in Łódź and the vaunted title of best debut, awarded by Wiesław Kowalski in his “Subjective Summary of the 2022/2023 Season” (teatrdlawszystkich.eu).
The roles created by the young actor in his diploma production, “The Oresteia,” also caught the attention of plenty of critics: “the characters of Angelika Smyrgała most stand out (…), as well as those of Kamil Pudlik, who performs, in order: the guard, Herold, Agamemnon, Aegisthus, and a member of the chorus of the Merciful” (Monika Weis, Teatr). “The actors, as befits a classical Greek text, play several roles each; this tactic is perfect for a diploma play, because all ten actors have a chance to show several sides of their talents. The most effective is the truly marvellous Kamil Pudlik, who took the first prize for acting at the 41st Acting Schools Festival” (Rafał Turowski, rafalturow.ski/teatr).
Krakow viewers already had a chance to see Kamil Pudlik in brilliant roles in the Stu Theatre productions “Black Comedy” directed by Mirosław Gronowski, “Servant of Two Masters” and “The Possessed” directed by Krzysztof Jasiński. For his inspired role as Pyotr Stepanovich Vyerkhovensky he received a great deal of audience recognition: “this year’s Theatre Academy graduate, Kamil Pudlik is wildly vivacious, a stick of dynamite that explodes a fairly subdued play” (Forum Homogenizowane). He was also outstanding in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera “Mozart and Salieri” (Krakow Opera): “there is a successful idea with Pushkin (Kamil Pudlik), in whose confessions we find a Mozartian conviction of his own genius, but also the bitterness of Salieri, who feels unappreciated” (Jacek Marczyński, ruchmuzyczny.pl).
Television viewers have also had the chance to watch him in the series “Teacher.”
